PURPOSE:  To establish Trident Technical College's support of South Carolina's nepotism hiring practices.

Employing and Supervising Relatives

Individuals with supervisory or management authority (including Area Commission members) may not hire, or have employed in any position under their supervision, significant influence, or control, any family member as defined in SBTCE Policy 8-7-102. In addition, family members are not permitted to work for the same supervisor. This procedure applies to those having common law or non-traditional relationships involving either cohabitation or significant interdependence.
