It is important to have a desire to continue learning new information and skills, because cosmetology is constantly changing, and it is important to stay current on new technology and techniques. Business knowledge, communication skills and professionalism are also key to succeeding in this field.

You can find employment opportunities in spas or wellness centers, salons, resorts, cruise ships and dermatologist offices. You can also work as an educator for product manufacturers, become a licensed instructor or open your own business.
