Readmit Admission Requirements

You are a readmit student if you have taken classes at TTC, but your courses were more than three (3) semesters ago. If you have not been enrolled during the last three semesters, you will need to complete a Student Information Update Form and submit it to the Registar's office or the Admissions office on Berkeley, Mount Pleasant, or Palmer Campuses. If you are re-enrolling at Trident Technical College, but have not attended since prior to the Summer of 1985, you are required to completed an Admissions Application, but you are encouraged to submit the application in person on any campus and the application fee will be waived.

Application - YES

You may complete a paper application and return it to any of our four campuses. Do not apply online.

Application Fee - NO

The $30 application fee is not required.

High School Diploma/Transcript - YES

You must provide proof of completion of a high school diploma or GED. Acceptable forms of proof of high school graduation include:

  • high school transcript*
  • high school or GED diploma
  • military record verifying high school completion

Students who provide proof of completion of an associate degree or higher at a regionally accredited college or university are not required to submit proof of high school completion. A high school certificate of completion is not acceptable proof. While official transcripts are not required, they may be needed for scholarship purposes. TTC has a limited number of programs that do not require a high school diploma or GED.

*Students graduating from a S.C. high school within the last five years who can provide a final, official transcript with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher during the admission process will not need to take the placement test and will be eligible to enroll directly into college-level courses.

English Proficiency - YES

If you did not complete an English course during your previous enrollment at TTC, you must submit one of the following:

  • A final, official S.C. high school transcript with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher from the last five years
  • Proof of completion of a transferrable college-level English course
  • Proof of a bachelor's degree or higher
  • Qualifying SAT (480 Critical Reading; 530 Revised SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing)
  • Qualifying ACT (19 English)
  • Take the TTC Placement Test

Math Proficiency - YES

If you did not complete a math course during your previous enrollment at TTC, you must submit one of the following:

  • A final, official S.C. high school transcript with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher from the last five years
  • Proof of completion of a transferrable college-level math course
  • Qualifying SAT (580 Math; 600 Revised Math)
  • Qualifying ACT (22 Math)
  • Take the TTC Placement Test

Proof of Citizenship - YES

Submit one of the following:

  • South Carolina driver's license
  • State-issued ID
  • FAFSA Student Aid Report

Transient Permission - NO

Transient permission is only required of students who are currently enrolled at another college and wish to take courses at TTC to transfer back to their home institution.
