Workforce Pathways Scholarship

Trident Technical College (TTC) Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is pleased to offer a new session of the Workforce Pathways Scholarship for Fall 2017 classes (until funds are expended).

 

The Workforce Pathways Scholarship was funded by the South Carolina General Assembly through the South Carolina Technical College System. Trident Technical College has a limited amount of funding available to provide scholarships to students who are current residents of South Carolina. The scholarship money can be used by students to pay for class tuition only (does not include textbooks, testing fees, materials, etc.). It is only available for use on qualified TTC continuing education courses within approved programs.

 

The new installment of the Workforce Pathways Scholarship is open for applications one week only, from Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 through Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017. See below for instructions on how to apply.

Who can apply for the scholarship?

Past Workforce Pathways Scholarship participants are not eligible for this scholarship.

 

Those interested in applying for the scholarship must provide proof of meeting the following criteria when submitting an application:

  • Received a GED or high school diploma or provide college transcript
  • Currently reside in South Carolina

 

Applicants must also be able to meet the physical and program requirements of their chosen program of study and follow the instructions provided at orientation.

 

Drug screen and/or background checks are required for some programs (costs are not covered by scholarship) and must be completed after initial acceptance into the scholarship program.

 

Recipients are required to attend an orientation session; instructions will be provided in scholarship recipients’ award notifications.

 

NOTE: Scholarship only covers tuition (books and any required supplies are not covered)

Scholarship recipients are eligible to take an entire program or classes within a program. They are not able to move between programs.

How can I apply for the scholarship?

STEP 1: Review the basic requirements of the Workforce Pathways Scholarship.


STEP 2: If you meet the basic requirements, review the programs listed in the current scholarship guidelines and decide which one is of interest to you.


STEP 3: Click on the Apply Now link and fill out the online application.

 

STEP 4: A continuing education program manager will contact you within a week should your application be approved.
