Application - YES
Create an account on Apply Now and complete the online application, selecting “First-Time College Freshman” as your student type. Once you have completed and submitted your application, you will be able to view any supplemental items needed and monitor the processing of your application on your Apply Now account.
High School Diploma/Transcript- YES
You must provide proof of completion of a high school diploma or GED. Acceptable forms of proof of high school graduation include:
- high school transcript*
- high school or GED diploma
- military record verifying high school completion
Note: A high school certificate of completion is not acceptable proof. While official transcripts are not required, they may be needed for scholarship purposes. TTC has a limited number of programs that do not require a high school diploma or GED.
*Students graduating from high school within the last five years who can provide a final, official transcript with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher during the admission process will not need to take the placement test and will be eligible to enroll directly into college-level courses.
English Proficiency - YES
Submit one of the following:
- A final, official high school transcript with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher from the last five years
- Qualifying SAT (480 Critical Reading; 530 Revised SAT Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing)
- Qualifying ACT (19 English)
- Take the TTC Placement Test
Math Proficiency - YES
Submit one of the following:
- A final, official S.C. high school transcript with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher from the last five years
- Qualifying SAT (580 Math; 600 Revised Math)
- Qualifying ACT (22 Math)
- Take the TTC Placement Test
Proof of Citizenship - YES
Submit one of the following:
- South Carolina driver's license
- ID
- FAFSA Student Aid Report

Transient permission is only required of students who are currently enrolled at another college and wish to take courses at TTC to transfer back to their home institution.
