Trident Technical College offers a variety of options for employers to provide training for their employees. Customized training allows a personalized experience where curriculum can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual company seeking employee training.

Location

Courses can be taught in TTC classrooms in one of our five campuses around the Lowcountry:

  • Thornley Campus in North Charleston
  • Mount Pleasant Campus
  • Berkeley Campus in Moncks Corner
  • Palmer Campus in Downtown Charleston
  • Dorchester Campus in Summerville.
  • They can also be formatted as an online option. Or courses can be brought onsite to be taught in company facilities.

Scheduling

Employees can be placed into regular open enrollment TTC courses where they would have non-employee classmates. Or special class sections made up entirely of your company employees can be created if certain criteria are met.

Credit vs. Noncredit

Employees generally qualify for some type of college credit for courses taken through Trident Technical College. We can work with you to determine whether the employees need regular college credit that can be used towards earning a degree or whether they need CEUs (continuing education units) instead to count towards their license or certification renewal requirements.

Subjects Available

Employee training is available in a variety of areas across the college. And customized training can also be developed. Some of the more popular employee training courses include: supervisory and interpersonal skills; forklift training; manufacturing training; computer software; health care skills; and more.

How Do We Get Started?

Let Trident Tech send a business consultant to meet with your company’s representative to go over your current challenges, learn about your company’s role in our community, and visit any facilities you have where you may want to host on-site employee training. We will develop a customized training plan for your review and then work with college departments to get your training scheduled.
