Foreign Language Placement or Credit-by-Exam

This exam enables students to place into or challenge 101, 102, 201 or 202 levels of a foreign language. The test consists of both writing and listening sections. It is multiple choice and approximately one hour in length.

There is no fee for the placement exam; no college credit is awarded.

To take a credit-by-exam:

• Obtain a Credit by Exam form from Thornley Campus Testing Services.
• Get the form signed by your instructor or advisor and dean or department head.
• Take the form to the Business office for processing and pay the $45 testing fee.
• Bring the processed form and your Business office receipt of payment to Testing Services when testing.

Foreign language placement and credit-by-examinations are administered by appointment only Monday through Friday.
