Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership

NCPCLP

This program is designed to assist every sailor in obtaining a college degree while in the Navy, anywhere around the world. We will work with you to maximize your transfer credits and so you can earn an associate degree through Web-based distance learning. Each degree can be completed entirely online.

TTC offers students opportunities to pursue the following academic programs. Click on the appropriate link below to view information about a specific program.

Associate in Arts

Associate in Applied Science (AAS) – This degree is offered with program specialization in the areas listed below:

  • AAS – Administrative Office Technology (Office Administration)
  • AAS – Computer Technology (Information Systems Specialist)
  • AAS- Criminal Justice
  • AAS – Business Administration (Customer Service)
  • AAS – Business Administration (International Business)
  • AAS – Management (Business Information Systems)

You can use your military training and experience to maximize your transfer credits to fulfill degree requirements. We accept ACE recommended credit for military training and we grant credit for selected College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) examinations, Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) DSST examinations and Excelsior College with satisfactory scores.  

Trident Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate degrees, diplomas and certificates. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Trident Technical College. The Commission on Colleges should be contacted only if there is evidence that appears to support the college’s significant non-compliance with a requirement or standard.

Admission

  1. Complete an Admission Application online. If you have any questions or problems with this process, please call the Admissions office at 1-877-349-7184, ext. 6558. *Please be sure to submit your application before the application deadline of the semester you would like to enroll. See TTC Calendars for dates.
  2. Submit a copy of your high school transcript, diploma or GED. If evidence of a degree at the associate level or higher exists, you do not have to provide high school documentation.
  3. Provide official transcripts from all previous colleges, military training, and AP, CLEP and DSST exams. These must be submitted before any evaluation can be completed or any credit can be transferred.
  4. All transcripts should be sent to:

Tuition and Fees

Students taking courses at TTC through the Navy Distance Learning Program will be charged the in-state tuition rate for Charleston/Berkeley/Dorchester counties. Visit Tuition and Payment to view current tuition and fees as well as refund and withdrawal policies. TTC accepts Navy Tuition Assistance (TA) as payment for tuition costs.

NOTE: Active duty military personnel, their spouses and dependents stationed in South Carolina are eligible for the South Carolina Education Lottery Tuition Assistance Program (LTAP). Click here to learn more.

Library Assistance for Distance Learners

The TTC library provides many services and access to a huge collection of online books, articles and films. This is ideal for students enrolled in the Naval College Program.

The Naval College Program library guide provides valuable information on library offerings.

All of the online resources can be accessed while off-campus. A TTC Username and Password (same as the student online class login credentials) is needed to use many of the library databases and online resources.
