Trident Technical College (TTC) Division of Education is offering a limited number of State-Funded Scholarships for noncredit programs (until funds are expended). This is a separate opportunity from the funds that are available to pay for academic courses at Trident Technical College.

An alternative (also called private) loan is a loan through a commercial lender. Alternative loans generally have higher interest rates than federal loan programs and eligibility is based on creditworthiness, not financial need. The Division of Education does not endorse or recommend any specific lender for private loans. The Division does recommend that thorough research and information is obtained in order to make an informed decision prior to obtaining a private loan.

Project Hope scholarships are available to members of TANF families, SNAP families, young adults aging out of foster care and low-income high school health science completers. Services are provided for selected participants through a lottery system. Project Hope participants are eligible to receive assistance with tuition, fees, books and uniforms.
Trident Tech noncredit students can now spread out the cost of their education with a new Payment Plan available for all programs costing $800 or more. The Payment Plan options are available through a partnership with Nelnet Inc., a company that has helped millions of students pay for education at thousands of schools.
STEP 1: Students must first register for their class(es) by contacting the noncredit Registration Team at 843.574.6152, email@example.com or by coming to campus (Building 910 on Thornley Campus).
STEP 2: After students have registered for their TTC noncredit class, they can use a secure online portal to register for their payment plan. No approval is required to sign up for a plan and there are no financing charges, however there is a one-time $30 enrollment fee.
STEP 3: Begin making your payments. Make sure the payments are made on time, every time! Once enrolled in a Payment Plan students have four months to pay off their tuition costs.
Some students may be eligible to receive federal funding for career training through SC Works Trident. SC Works Trident Centers provide employers with valuable resources to recruit qualified employees.
