S.C. Aeronautical Training Center
The S.C. Aeronautical Training Center at Trident Technical College provides an educated and trained pipeline of workers with the skills needed now and in the future. High-tech equipment, valuable instructional opportunities, and innovative business and educational partnerships make it a critical asset to the state, the region and beyond.
Supporting the Economy
In the S.C. Aeronautical Training Center, the college offers high-tech manufacturing programs, aeronautical studies programs, advanced manufacturing training, engineering technology and engineering transfer courses, and houses readySC’s Boeing training.
Offerings include programs leading to associate degrees and noncredit certificates as well as specialized training, apprenticeships and seminars for major manufacturers in the region and state.
The three-story facility provides:
- Two aircraft hangars with high bays and a ramp for aircraft training aids, including a flight simulator, airplanes and helicopters
- Advanced manufacturing lab with CNC machines, 3D printers and more
- Mechatronics lab
- Robotics trainers
- Specialty and flex-space labs
- Classrooms and meeting spaces
Global Magnet for Partnerships
The S.C. Aeronautical Training Center serves as a foundation for Trident Technical College to build partnerships with local, regional, national and global significance.
Trident Tech’s vital business partnerships allow the college to make gains on emerging technologies to develop the space economy in South Carolina, such as advanced air mobility, AI, lower-earth orbit and unmanned vehicle technologies.
Faculty collaboration between Trident Tech, other technical colleges and four-year universities enables important research opportunities to address future industry needs.
