Doggies, Desserts and Dedication

Recently, the faculty and staff of Trident Technical College united in an extraordinary display of support for students during the TTC Foundation’s 2023-2024 Campus Campaign.

Together, they raised an impressive $60,000, with 66% of employees participating, demonstrating their dedication to student success.

Full-time faculty and staff were randomly assigned to teams, led by three co-chairs and 20 employee volunteer captains. Teams competed to achieve the highest participation level and to win a coveted pizza party featuring pizza delivered by TTC President, Dr. Mary Thornley.

During the campaign, the TTC Foundation partnered with Berkeley Animal Center and the TTC Vet Tech program to hold a Doggies and Desserts event, with refreshments provided by Culinary Institute of Charleston alum, Samantha Fino’s Delights, Desserts & Coffee food truck. Employees were invited to take a break from work to snuggle with adoptable puppies while enjoying delicious treats and fancy coffees.

The TTC Foundation Campus Campaign represents a long-standing tradition of employees going above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to assist students. Since 1980, TTC employees have consistently shown up for students, both in and out of the classroom. Their contributions, totaling $1.7 million, are a testament to their unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive and empowering learning environment at Trident Technical College.
