Palmer Campus

Trident Technical College’s Downtown Palmer Campus is in the heart of downtown historic Charleston. Many students live within walking distance of the campus, giving it a cool urban feel. With experienced faculty, classes that fit your life, and a focus on student life and support, you will find you don’t have to leave the peninsula to achieve your educational goals. And if you live on the Sea Islands, you'll find us a convenient, full-service location. The Downtown Palmer Campus is also a good neighbor to the surrounding Eastside community, helping to preserve and promote its history. The Downtown Palmer Campus proudly showcases the popular award-winning 181 Palmer Restaurant and Spa 66, which are open to the public, and programs that include Culinary, Nail Technology and Esthetics. We also house the Emergency Medical Technician program which trains many of our community's first responders.

We also offer transitional programs that allow students to enter college through non-traditional routes, thus engouraging people who may not see themselves as potential college students due to the high cost of education to reach their educational goals.

Transfer Programs: In close proximity to the College of Charleston, the Citadel, and the Medical College of South Carolina, the Downtown Palmer Campus provides students with a cost-effective pathway to a four-year college degree through our transfer programs.

Charleston County Early College High School: The Charleston County Early College High School is designed to allow students the opportunity to complete up to two years of college credit while earning a high school diploma as part of a coherent educational program that serves the developmental and intellectual needs of young people.

GED Program: The Charleston Country Schoool District teaches GED classes on our campus for adults students who need a high school diploma and works to transition these students into further education and training.

The Charleston Clemente Course is part of a national program that makes available free humanities courses to at-risk populations in the belief that the critical reasoning skills gained from the study of the humanities will provide people with the tools needed to escape multi-generational poverty. We can help you get where you want to go.
