Trident Technical College does not discriminate on the basis of disability in recruitment, admissions, access, treatment, or employment in any program or activity. The College complies with all applicable laws, including with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. § 794) and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended.
The College provides reasonable accommodations and auxiliary aids and services to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable federal and state law, unless doing so would result in a fundamental alteration of a program or impose an undue hardship.
The College’s employee grievance procedure, as outlined in the Employee Handbook, applies to complaints filed by employees alleging disability discrimination under Section 504 or the ADA. The College’s Student Complaint Procedure is outlined in Trident Technical College Procedure 17-3-2 and in the Student Handbook and applies to student complaints alleging disability discrimination.
The College has designated an ADA/Section 504 Coordinator to oversee compliance with disability nondiscrimination laws. Inquiries regarding disability accommodations or complaints of discrimination may be directed to the ADA/Section 504 Coordinator through the Office of Human Resources or the Director of Counseling and Disability Services.
