PURPOSE: To establish Trident Technical College’s (TTC) procedure on Hazardous Weather and Emergencies.
Process for Declaring Hazardous Weather and Emergencies
- Notification of Declaration of Emergency Localized Emergency
SBTCE Policy 8-3-105 authorizes the President to evacuate the institution in the interest of personal safety when harmful or unsafe conditions exist or threaten. - Essential Personnel
During extreme weather or emergency situations, the President may determine that essential personnel (security, maintenance, etc.) are needed to maintain Trident Technical College facilities. - Emergency Plan
The TTC Emergency Plan outlines management actions and resources necessary to protect TTC personnel, students and property. The plan is included in TTC’s Policies and Procedure Manual and is administered by the Director of Public Safety (http://www.tridenttech.edu/_files/pdf/ttc/TTC_Emergency_Plan.pdf).
