Proof of Legal Presence should be a copy of your state driver’s license or state issued identification card. See the link for more information.

This may also be referred to as a Transient Letter or Course Elsewhere Form. Please contact the Registrar’s Office at your home institution for more information on obtaining this document. You may submit by uploading in your Apply Now account or emailing to: admissionsdocs@tridenttech.edu.

Confirm the residency status applied to you by reviewing your acknowledgement email. Login to your Student Portal. Register for your desired classes per instructions which will be emailed to you. Your login information will be included as well. If you have trouble with finding this information, please contact the Admissions Office at 843-574-6558 or by email at admissions@tridenttech.edu.

Your tuition is determined by your residency status. Be sure you have completed Step 4.

Books can be purchased online or in-person at the bookstore.

 


Visiting Students

(Also referred to as Nondegree Students)

You would like to take a course (or courses) at Trident Tech without seeking a degree, certificate, or transferring credit to a home institution. You may also wish to enroll in credit classes without earning any credit hours (audit).

  • Proof of Legal Presence
  • Graduation Documents
    • You are not required to submit High School Graduation Documents (Diploma or Official High School Transcript) or General Educational Diploma (GED). However, if you later decide to seek a degree, diploma, or certificate, you may be required to submit proof.
  • Qualifying Test Scores
    • Students may be required to submit proof of English and/or Math Proficiency based on information on these documents.
      • TTC’s Placement Test, SAT (480 Critical Reading; 530 Revised SAT Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing), or ACT (English 19, Math 22).
      • If you have taken English or Math courses at another U.S. College, you may be exempt from all or part of the placement test. To qualify, you will need to submit official transcripts.
      • A final high school transcript with a weighted GPA from the last five years.  Minimum Requirements needed for placement into courses (English 3.00 GPA & Math – 3.250 GPA)

You will receive your Student Portal login information via an application acknowledgment email and/or letter by US Mail. You can complete this step once that has occurred. Should you have trouble with finding this information, please click here.

Refer to your application acknowledgement email to verify the initial residency status under which you have been determined.
