Cyber Center

There are currently more jobs available than qualified workers and the gap is only expected to grow. Trident Technical College’s Center for Cybersecurity provides students and the community with cybersecurity resources as well as academic and professional development opportunities.

Trident Technical College has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Defense Education (CDE). This designation was awarded by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) upon meeting their stringent requirements for cybersecurity curriculum and program criteria. Trident Technical College is the first two-year college in South Carolina to achieve this designation.

The NSA and the DHS jointly sponsor the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (NCAE-C) program (see NSA website). The goal of the program is to reduce vulnerability in our national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in cyber defense and producing professionals with cyber defense expertise.
