Internet access to TTC will be down Oct. 23, midnight-6 a.m., so AT&T can perform a planned maintenance upgrade. This will affect D2L, the portal and TTC website and other activities that require Internet access from offsite users. Please plan ahead, especially if you are taking an online course. Once classes begin, log in to D2L as soon as possible to initiate communication with your instructor and begin academic assignments so you can be counted as having attended.

  1 Applying to TTC

If you are new to TTC and have never applied before, complete the online application here. Submit $30 nonrefundable fee.

If you are new to TTC, but have applied within last two years, complete an Application Update Form here.

If your application is older than two years, complete a new Admission Application here.

If taking TTC courses while still enrolled in high school, complete Smart Start Application here.

A few business days after you apply to TTC, we will send you an acknowledgment letter with information on how to access your new account. From now on, almost all of TTC's communications with you will be through

  2 Financial Aid

Apply for all aid (including lottery) except scholarships by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) here.

Be sure to include TTC as one of the colleges you select to receive a copy of your Student Aid Report. Once you are admitted to the college, we match your application with your Student Aid Report to start the awarding process.

Remember to check your account at least twice a week for updates on your status.

  3 Admission Process

Submit the following in addition to your Application:
- Qualifying ACT, SAT, transcripts of previous college coursework or TTC COMPASS Placement Test
- Proof of high school graduation or GED
- Proof of lawful presence in the United States here.

All qualifying tests used by TTC require in-person proctoring. If you live or work near a college campus, you may be able to take the tests there by calling 843.574.6438 or 843.574.6334 at TTC. Note: Testing sites may charge a fee to administer your test.

  4 Orientation

Complete orientation in-person or online here.

After you complete orientation, staff will assign you an academic advisor. Your advisor's name and contact information will be posted in your account. In, select "My Profile" under TTC Bookmarks.

  5 Register

Once you have received a my.tridenttech email notification that you have been admitted to TTC, you are ready to be advised and registered for classes.

If you have declared a major or are undecided, contact the advisor you were assigned after orientation. He/she will help you select classes and register.

Nondegree students are not assigned academic advisors. After orientation, contact the Registrar's office.

TTC Bookstore
Once you are registered, you may purchase your books through the Bookstore. Do not open them or write in them until you are sure that you have the correct books, that the class has not been cancelled or that you will not make changes in your schedule.

  6 Pay Tuition

Each semester there are two fee payment deadlines. If you register for classes before the first deadline and want to keep that schedule, then you must pay any balance due by the first deadline. If you register after the first deadline, then your balance is due no later than the published final payment deadline.

View balance due in your account. It will include any financial aid awards. TTC does NOT mail bills.

Pay online or in-person at any campus Business Office.

TTC also offers an automatic payment plan so you can spread out your tuition payments over time. You can sign up for the payment plan in The tuition payment plan is not a loan program. There is no debt incurred. There is no credit search. There are no interest or finance charges.

  7 Attend Class

Congratulations!,You are now ready to attend classes. You may obtain your Student ID in the Student Activities office on Main Campus, in the Admissions Office on Palmer, and in the Learning Resources Center on Berkeley.

Parking on campus is limited; make sure to allow enough time to find a parking space and make it to your class on time.
