BASED ON POLICY NUMBER AND TITLE: 17 U.S.C. § 108 (2000)
PURPOSE: To establish a process for requesting duplication and use of copyrighted materials in accordance with Title 17 of the U.S. Code, Section 108, which provides protection for copyrighted materials.
It is a violation of law for persons to copy, distribute, perform, digitally transmit
(in the case of sound recordings), or to create a new work based upon a copyrighted
work without the permission of the copyright owner.
- PRODUCTION REQUESTS
Faculty/staff who wish to reproduce or use copyrighted materials must obtain written permission of clearance from the copyright holder. - CONTACT WITH PUBLISHER/PRODUCER
Trident Technical College Libraries provide resources and services to assist faculty/staff as they seek permission to use copyrighted materials. Faculty/staff should allow adequate time to complete the copyright clearance process.
