What can I do in electronics engineering technology?
Electronics engineering technicians use science, technology and problem-solving skills
to design, construct and maintain products, services and information systems. They
often work in product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices
to adjust, test and repair equipment.
What characteristics and skills do I need to work in this field?
Electronics engineering technicians must have good reasoning skills, so they can identify
and fix problems. Mechanical skills are important because they must be able to use
hand tools and soldering irons on small parts. Math skills, which are used for analysis,
design and troubleshooting, are also required.
Where can I work?
Graduates of TTC’s program may find employment as broadcast technicians, business
machine technicians, customer service representatives, computer service technicians,
engineering technicians, laboratory technicians, field engineering technicians, electrical
sales technicians, technical writers and electrical instrument technicians. As computer
and electronics systems become more integrated, the need for skilled electronics engineering
will grow.
What does Trident Technical College offer?
