TTC trains our workforce in the technical careers that drive our industries, staff our hospitals and earn Charleston its top hospitality ratings. TTC creates an educated community that results in a higher tax base, lower rates of poverty and crime, and greater opportunity for economic development.
"TTC is growing, and that's an indication that TTC is offering courses students want, charging affordable tuition, responding to what the business community needs and giving people hope in an economy that is only starting to recover."

With outstanding graduate placement rates, TTC proves that an excellent education can be affordable.
As TTC energizes the tri-county economy, and as more students than ever before enroll, state funding levels continue to plunge. In 2000, when 10,500 students were enrolled at TTC, state support comprised more than 50% of the college's budget. Today, with two-thirds more students, the state contributes only 18%. Education lottery funding, which helps students offset their own tuition costs, does not provide direct support to the college to compensate for this loss of state funding.
