Presidential performance is considered synonymous with organizational performance. Evaluation of the President's performance will be based on the President's job responsibilities in major areas as defined in CPR 2: President's Responsibilities.
Presidential performance will be monitored on a continuous basis and formally evaluated annually, in accordance with South Carolina Laws and Regulations.
- The purpose of continuous monitoring is to determine the degree to which Commission policies are being fulfilled. Monitoring will be done in a way to permit the Commission to use most of its time to create the future rather than to review the past.
- A given policy may be monitored at any time in one or more of three ways:
- Internal reports which disclose compliance information to the Commission from the
President. Internal reports include:
- Student and employee surveys
- Placement data
- Assessment of student learning
- Financial reports
- Institutional data collection
- External reports that disclose compliance information by an external auditor or other
persons or entities external to the college. External reports include:
- Audit reports
- Licensing examination results
- Accreditation reports
- Transfer data
- Data from state and federal entities
- Commission inspection that includes compliance information from a Commission member, a committee, or the Commission as a whole. This includes an inspection of documents, activities or circumstances, as directed by the Commission, which allows a test of policy compliance.
- Internal reports which disclose compliance information to the Commission from the
President. Internal reports include:
Trident Technical College Area Commission approved Executive Parameters Policies and Commission President Relationship Policies on July 29, 1997 for adoption on January 1, 1998.
