DSST examinations are computer-based, multiple-choice format and two hours long. To be eligible to repeat an exam, a waiting period of 30 days is required.
Some exams have an optional essay section. Contact the institution that will be accepting the credit to determine if the essay section is required. Essay sections must be ordered in advance and may take two weeks for TTC to receive.
Information about DSST examinations, including the ACE recommended scores, can be found online at www.getcollegecredit.com. Contact the institution accepting your credits to determine the required scores and policies.
Cost
- An examination fee of $100 is charged by DSST for each exam taken. Examination fees are paid by credit card to DSST on the day of the test.
- A $25 per test service fee, paid separately from the DSST examination fee, is payable to TTC on the day of testing.
