Students who study mathematics often find careers that use their skills with numbers.
While the most common math careers involve teaching either at the secondary or postsecondary
level, there are many exciting careers where mathematicians are employed including
software engineering, computer systems analysis, computer programming, astronomy and
space exploration, climate study, medicine, national security, cryptology, engineering,
robotics, animated films, a wide range of businesses, statistics, political science
and more.
What does Trident Technical College offer?
The Mathematics department offers courses in Quantitative Reasoning, Contemporary
Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, & Trigonometry, as well
as STEM level coursework of Discrete Mathematics, College Algebra, College Trigonometry,
and Precalculus and the Calculus sequence through Differential Equations. TTC’s mathematics
courses will transfer to four-year colleges or universities across the state and nation
(with some courses dependent on the student's major). All college-level math courses
are eligible for credit as a part of TTC's Associate in Science degree program.
