NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C., March 16, 2026 — Trident Technical College welcomed more than 1,100 local high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to Thornley Campus in North Charleston on Thursday, March 5, for Career Day 2026.

This annual event brings together students from local and regional high schools, homeschool students and parents, TTC faculty and students, and local employers to educate attendees on how TTC programs lead to in-demand careers.

At the expo-style academic fair, visitors explored programs in 11 areas of interest. Twenty-two local employers, representing a variety of industries, provided valuable career-focused perspectives.

Attendees had access to an array of classrooms and labs across Thornley Campus, where faculty members and current TTC students offered interactive and hands-on experiences, demonstrated equipment, and answered questions about the college’s programs and related career paths.

Chaperones, including teachers and guidance counselors, also learned about TTC, helping them recommend the college to their current and future students.

Sheila Davis, the director of school counseling at Military Magnet Academy, brings her students to Career Day each year. “Students are excited to speak with career representatives, but when students explore the campus, take tours, check out labs, and speak with teachers and TTC students, an experience is created which cannot be duplicated or underestimated,” she said.

Career Day fosters connection between prospective students, faculty and employers, and helps high schoolers discover how TTC can help them achieve their dreams.

Career Day is held annually. Next year’s event will be on March 2, 2027.
