No-Cost Tuition Available for Horticulture Programs

Get no-cost tuition for Horticulture programs.

Horticulture students are trained in many aspects of plant science, such as botany, physiology, plant identification and soils. A 3,000-square-foot instructional greenhouse provides invaluable hands-on experience.

Trident Tech offers an associate degree in Horticulture Technology as well as certificates in Arboriculture Management, Athletic Field Maintenance, Edible Crops, Golf Course Maintenance, Landscape Design, Sustainable Agriculture, and Sustainable Horticulture and Landscaping. You could qualify for up to $5,000 per year in assistance with SCWINS.

South Carolina residents enrolled in critical workforce programs that lead to an industry-recognized credential, certificate, diploma or degree are eligible for the South Carolina Workforce Industry Needs Scholarship (SCWINS). Learn more about SCWINS here, including eligibility requirements.

NOTE: What does “no-cost tuition mean?”  For SC residents who qualify, your tuition is actually paid from sources other than your own funds. First, the college applies all federal and state assistance that you qualify for, including scholarships and grants. If you are eligible for SCWINS (up to $5,000 per academic year), these funds are applied after all other aid. Depending on your financial aid package, you may qualify for funds for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other materials.
