The Medical Assisting program at Trident Technical College is a great way to grow your career in the health care industry. It is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in various medical settings. The program covers essential topics such as anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, clinical procedures and administrative tasks.
TTC offers a diploma program that is one year (46 credits) or an associate in applied science degree program that is two years (60 plus credits) in length. Graduates of the associate degree program are eligible to take the national AAMA certification examination to earn the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential. Employers seek medical assistants with the CMA credential to work in their practices.
