The Division of Law Related Studies offers students the education needed to enter the criminal justice, homeland security and paralegal professions. For example, the Criminal Justice associate degree program is for students who desire to begin careers in law enforcement, upgrade their skills or transfer to a four-year institution to obtain a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, criminology or sociology. The division also offers Police Pre-Academy Training to prepare students for entrance into the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy. TTC’s Paralegal associate degree and related certificate programs are designed for students who want careers as paralegals. The Homeland Security Management associate degree prepares students for jobs in Homeland Security and provides information and a depth of understanding in security that will be useful in many career opportunities.
