STEM Summer Camps

Students ages 7-17 are invited to take part in a range of full day summer camps at Trident Technical College devoted to career exploration, guest speakers and special STEM projects.

Funded through a U.S. Department of Defense grant, National Defense Education Program for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education, Outreach and Workforce Initiative Programs, titled BOOMING in STEM, Trident Technical College will host a series of full day STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) focused youth camps during the summer of 2021. Camps run 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

While the program is designed to provide fun and educational experiences for the children of members of United States armed forces, a limited number of camp registrations may also be available to the general public.

Camps will be offered June 28-Aug. 6 according to the following schedule:

Note: A limited number of spaces are available in each summer camp, and as these camps fill up they will be removed as options form the application form located at the bottom of this webpage.

Funded through the same grant program, Trident Tech will also launch the Lowcountry Advanced Manufacturing Institute (LAMI) for rising high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors at the South Carolina Aeronautical Training Center (SCATC) on Thornley Campus. Learn more.

Completion of this interest form does not guarantee a spot in the summer camp programs. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with special consideration given to priority populations, as identified in the grant. Someone from Trident Technical College will contact you upon receipt of your request to inform you of your selection and to gather additional information needed for registration.
