American Sign Language (ASL)

A Glimpse of Sign Language (Ages 7-17)
Do you have a family member or friend who is deaf or hard of hearing? Knowing sign language helps you connect with more people. Did you know that even babies can use sign language? Learn how to sign by practicing the alphabet, playing games and singing songs.

Learn the foundations of ASL communication, gain knowledge and awareness of deaf/signing history and culture, develop comfort and assertiveness as a new signer, and build a basic portfolio of ASL vocabulary.

English (Workplace)

Do you need to improve your English, communicate more effectively at work, or find better career opportunities? The Workplace English course can help. It is for non-native English-speakers with basic, intermediate or advanced English skills. This course integrates workforce preparation skills within an ESL curriculum. Experienced language trainers will use evidence-based resources to teach communication skills that are essential for employability and career advancement. Our small group instruction is designed to help participants improve communication and succeed in today’s business world. Workplace English courses are customized to your needs. The content focuses on everyday English language needs, based on job-specific language and vocabulary. Students acquire the linguistic and cultural information needed for success in various jobs. Includes a level placement test and needs assessment.

Spanish (Conversational)

You need little or no background with the Spanish language for the first-level course which focuses on spoken Spanish. Then move on to the second- and third-level courses for those who have either taken the lower-level courses or have taken multiple years of Spanish previously. Sign up for both Spanish I and II classes and receive the bundle discount of 10 percent. Book included
