American Sign Language (ASL)

In Level 1, you learn the foundations of sign language, gain insight into deaf/signing history and culture, and build a basic portfolio of vocabulary. Move on to Level 2 to increase vocabulary and gain a better understanding of grammar and syntax. In Level 3, focus less on vocabulary building and more on increasing comfort with discourse and conceptual framing of expressive/receptive signing.

English (Workplace)

Do you need to improve your English, communicate more effectively at work, or find better career opportunities? The Workplace English course can help. It is for non-native English-speakers with basic, intermediate or advanced English skills. This course integrates workforce preparation skills within an ESL curriculum. Experienced language trainers will use evidence-based resources to teach communication skills that are essential for employability and career advancement. Our small group instruction is designed to help participants improve communication and succeed in today’s business world. Workplace English courses are customized to your needs. The content focuses on everyday English language needs, based on job-specific language and vocabulary. Students acquire the linguistic and cultural information needed for success in various jobs. Includes a level placement test and needs assessment.

Spanish (Conversational)

Conversational Spanish I $169

Whether just for fun or to communicate better at work this course teaches you the basics of everyday conversational Spanish for business and travel. You need little or no background with the Spanish language. This course focuses on spoken Spanish, the written language is used for reinforcement.  Book included

Conversational Spanish II $169

This course is intended for those who have either taken Conversational Spanish I or have taken multiple years of Spanish in high school or college but are weak with the spoken component and want further practice. Book included

Conversational Spanish III – Advanced $129

This course will enhance your Spanish by expanding your vocabulary, raising the level of communication, accuracy of speaking and writing and increasing confidence. More challenging expressions and idioms are included in the curriculum. The goal is to be able to participate in a variety of social or work related conversations having developed both fluency and accuracy.
