Endoscope Reprocessor Certification

Endoscopic Technicians and Sterile Processing Technicians can now add this certification to their skill set and become nationally certified in flexible endoscope reprocessing through this interactive online program. To enroll in this six week online program students must be currently working in the endoscopy field and have a minimum of three months experience reprocessing and sterilizing flexible endoscopes.

Flexible endoscope, or GI scope reprocessing certification is an advanced, in-demand skill by local hospitals and is recognized by the Joint Commission. Technicians have a chance to seek this certification from this online program and from both of these two national certifying agencies: CBSPD through www.sterileprocessing.org or the www.IAHCSMM.org after successfully completing this program. Having the skills and knowledge to decontaminate and sterilize these very delicate endoscopy instruments is an advanced skill and requires certification by hospitals.
