Production, Equipment and Machinery Training

Encourage safety awareness while saving time and money by learning how to do it right the first time.

Workers can individually register to take classes in equipment and machinery training or companies can sign up groups of employees so they can all learn together.

Certified Production Technician (CPT)

This course prepares you to enter the manufacturing environment. It covers the soft and technical skills that are essential for jobs in manufacturing. Areas of safety, quality assurance, production and processes, maintenance awareness and communication are emphasized. Certification: Upon successful completion of the program, students receive the industry-recognized national certification. Materials included

Forklift Training

Learn the correct care and use of forklift trucks including the OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Standard, 29CFR1910.178, which covers forklift design limitations, uses in material handling, pre-operation check, operator skills and accident prevention. Upon successful completion of the course, you receive a three-year certification in forklift driving/operation skills. Materials included

Heavy Equipment Operator Program

Learn how to operate a variety of different types of heavy equipment used in the construction industry including a bulldozer, backhoe and excavator. Become more proficient in environmental/soil awareness, compaction operation and safety. All content is based on NCCER assessments. Program includes OSHA Construction Industry Safety 10-hour and Trench Safety.

HVAC Maintenance and Repair

Courses cover scheduled preventive maintenance on residential air conditioning and electric heating equipment which includes cleaning, servicing and operational checkout. Advanced classes on conducting repairs also are available. Books not included

ManuFirstSC (Lean Manufacturing)

Learn the production processes and procedures necessary to qualify for manufacturing jobs throughout SC. This class discusses essential safety policies, communication best practices, quality standards, production processes and maintenance awareness. Some local manufacturers accept completion of this class as meeting the requirement of one year of manufacturing experience. Materials included
