Home Recording Studio Setup: Understand the basics of audio recording and the equipment required to set up an entry-level studio that can help you record music or make a podcast.

Plein Air Oil Painting Workshop: Artist Laura Lloyd Fontaine leads an oil painting workshop at her James Island studio for artists of all levels. French for “open air” or “outside,” plein air painters take their easels outdoors to experience nature as they paint it. Students complete two 12” x 16” canvases. Class meets Friday, 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Sweetgrass Creations: Baskets: Local artisan Vera Manigault shows you how to weave a sweetgrass creation and also explains the history behind this special Lowcountry art form.

Au Pairs

Exploring Lowcountry Sights and Sounds: Au pairs are treated to highlights of Charleston's internationally acclaimed Spoleto Festival USA. Experience festival sights and sounds; learn about the history, culture and world famous cuisine of the Holy City; and earn three education credits. Class meets Friday, 4-9 p.m. at TTC’s Palmer Campus and Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m and Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at various locations TBA. Registration deadline: April 25
