This certificate provides the training necessary to prepare to obtain a Class A CDL for the purpose of entering the field of professional truck driving.

Admission Requirements

Students who are at least 18 years old and have acceptable scores from the SAT, ACT or placement test can be admitted into this program without a high school diploma or GED. Students must hold a valid SC driver’s license, be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and not have any CDL disqualifying violations. South Carolina CDL skills testing will be administered by a South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicle (SCDMV) examiner or by TTC’s state certified CDL examiner at the Berkeley Campus.
