The Introduction to Arc Welding certificate prepares students for entry-level welding employment.  This certificate is designed to provide a multi-disciplined learning experience for a beginning and intermediate welding student.  Students will take foundation courses in industrial safety, blueprint reading, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG).  Welding will be performed in multiple positions on plate steel and sheet metal.

Admission into this program requires qualifying scores on SAT, ACT or appropriate placement.  High school graduation is not required if you are at least 18 years old.
