Storytelling for the Screen

This certificate provides students who have previous film production experience with advanced training in storytelling for the screen. Graduates from this program will be able to identify narrative content from multiple perspectives, culminating in the creation of a short narrative.

Lec: 2 Lab: 3 Credit:3 This course examines filmmaking from the actor’s point of view. It explores the similarities and differences in the processes of acting for stage versus screen, including the relationship of the actor to the camera. Lec: 2 Lab: 3 Credit:3 This course is designed to teach students the techniques of writing for the visual medium. Emphasis will be placed on the split column and screenplay formats.
