The Fitness Specialist certificate program at Trident Technical College targets students who want comprehensive entry-level training beyond the experience of a personal trainer. This program, which can be completed in three full-time semesters, includes courses such as Lifetime Fitness and Wellness, Nutrition for Fitness and Training, and Aerobics Instructor Training. Students get hands-on experience in the InterTech Group Wellness Center at TTC and in an internship that provides them with firsthand experience working with clients. Graduates of the program will be qualified to provide cardio and weight training, wellness and personal fitness training services, and will have the knowledge they need to become certified.
