Chemistry Instructor #18126 – his position requires a master's degree in chemistry or a master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates with at least two (2) years of demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate chemistry at the community college level.  Organic chemistry teaching experience a plus.  Excellent customer service, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills are essential.  The successful candidate must be goal-oriented and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education.  Must have the ability to work both individually and in a team, and operate and troubleshoot routine chemistry instrumentation. Knowledge of instructional technology and modern office software is essential. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing systematically planned and delivered instruction in lecture and laboratory environments, designing and developing chemistry curriculum, evaluating chemistry lectures and laboratories, and advising students.  Candidate must remain current in the chemistry discipline and show evidence of ongoing professional development. Nursing Instructor #18130 – To qualify for this position you must have at least a master's degree in nursing education. Applicants who have a MSN in another area will be required to complete a post-master's certificate in nursing education or successfully complete the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) examination within three (3) years of hire. Candidates must also have a current SC RN license and a minimum of two (2) years clinical experience related to the primary area of the assigned teaching responsibilities, which is medical-surgical nursing. Teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program is highly preferred. Clinical experience with and knowledge base of content related to the assigned teaching responsibilities is essential.  Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are also essential. Speech Instructor #18114 (Readvertising – Previous Applicants Need Not Reapply)  – To position requires a master's degree in Communications or a closely related field or a master's degree in any field with 18 or more graduate hours in Communications. Ideal candidates will also have a master's in Communications or 18 or more graduate hours in Communications. The ability to teach both speech and introductory communication courses is preferred. Must be willing to teach online and day and/or evening courses and at off-campus locations as needed.  Prior college-level teaching experience, particularly in a two-year open-access institution, is highly preferred. Welding Instructor #18119 – This position requires a bachelor's degree in welding technology or a closely related field; or an associate degree in welding technology or a closely related field plus current welding experience. Candidates are also required to have current welder certifications through AWS, ASME, OR MIL associations. Teaching experience in post-secondary education is preferred. Candidates that currently do not have Certified Welding Instructor (CWI) or Certified Welding Educator (CWE) certifications will need to acquire within two (2) years of employment from AWS if not currently held. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Teaching assignments may include curriculum courses taught during days and evenings on campus as well as off-site. Qualified applicants must successfully complete welding performance tests in the SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes. Candidates must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. PART-TIME FACULTY

Librarian –This position requires a master’s degree in library and/or information science from an ALA accredited institution. The position will have an emphasis on public services and collection development.The successful candidate will have the ability to analyze and evaluate print, non-print, and digital resources related to the college curriculum. Additional responsibilities include some evening circulation, working with computerized resource systems and databases, and participating, as needed, in other library functions such as systems and technical services. Excellent communication and customer service skills is essential. Candidate must be able to function in an information technology environment characterized by continual changes. This position requires evening hours typically from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm Monday – Thursday at TTC’s Thornley Campus located at 7000 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC. Occasional Saturday hours as part of a staff rotation, may occur. Copies of transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable) must be submitted. Nursing Instructors (ADN) – Part-time instructors needed to provide clinical instruction/supervision for 8 - 9 students on medical surgical acute care or specialty units.  Clinical rotations are available for 7 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays and Wednesdays. Some weekends are available. A minimum of a BSN or MSN degree is required. Candidates must also have a minimum of two (2) years recent clinical experience in a relevant area as an RN and hold a current SC RN license. Clinical teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program preferred. Excellent customer service skills are essential.
