About TMUN

Please visit our site in August 2008 for the most current information about the 2009 Trident Model United Nations Conference. If you have questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to call the Model UN Office at (843) 574-6420. You can also email Lester Pittman or Pepe Zerda.

Trident’s Model United Nations Program is dedicated to promoting both cultural and international understanding. Members of our 2008 team have worked over the summer to revise parliamentary procedure to ensure debate is lively and engaging for all TMUN participants. The Model UN Conference consists of  three Committees focused on specific diplomatic areas: Legal, Political & Security, and Social & Humanitarian. To prepare for this simulation, delegations are expected to submit resolutions pertinent to country interests yet relevant on a global scale. Click here to view the resolutions submitted before the 2008 TMUN: Legal Committee, Political & Security Committee, and Social & Humanitaran Committee

Visit the Important Dates to view the schedule we will follow in accepting registrations, assigning countries, and sharing information with TMUN participants.

We are proud to maintain high quality at a low cost to participants. See the conference fees for 2009. Because space is limited, please complete the Registration Form and submit your conference fee payment promptly. We assign countries on a first-come-first-paid basis with some regard to prior experience in order to insure a lively conference. For schools with multiple teams, please note that we reserve the right to assign countries to the widest number of schools with the intent of ensuring engaging debate and negotiation.

We have included last year's schedule to allow potential participants an opportunity to think about the simulation and plan accordingly. When the 2009 schedule is finalized, it will be posted here.

Our TMUN Rules of Parliamentary Procedure are being revised and will be posted shortly.

Not sure what it will be like for your students? Click here to see a demonstration of Parliamentary Procedure by the 2004 MUN team.
