Human resources is located on the corner of Mabeline Road and Rivers Avenue in the Administration building 900; one block north of Main campus.

What is the application process?
Applications are accepted for advertised vacancies only. Copies are accepted with an original signature. Faculty positions must have copies of transcripts attached. Vacancies are posted in the Sunday, Charleston Post and Courier, and the TTC web page.

How can I submit my application?
A copy of the TTC application can be downloaded from our website, this is not a fill-in form. You can mail the application to TTC, Human Resources, PO Box 118067, Charleston, SC, 29423, drop it off at our human resources office between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, or fax the application to 843.574.6682 by the advertised deadline. Can I use the SC State application?
No. We do not accept the State application. You must complete a Trident Technical College Application.

Can I submit a resume?
Resumes are not accepted in lieu of completing a TTC application. However, a resume can be attached to a completed application.

What is FMLA leave?
The Family Medical Leave Act of 1993 requires employers to grant up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave to employees for the care or placement of a child (birth, placement, or foster care); the care of an employee's spouse, son, daughter, or parent who has a serious health condition; for a serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform his or her job. To be eligible, you must have been employed for at least one year and have worked for 1250 hours over the past 12 months.

What is the TERI program?
TERI is a deferred retirement plan that allows eligible members of the S.C. Retirement System to retire for purposes of the S.C. Retirement System and escrow their monthly retirement checks while continuing to work in their current positions for up to five years.

How many holidays are observed by TTC?
Covered employees are eligible for paid holidays. There are 12 observed holidays in a calendar year. As state employees we receive the same number of holidays as other state agencies, but as an academic institution we designate several holidays for use during the Winter Break when classes are not scheduled.

When is payday?
TTC employees are paid monthly on the last working day of the month.
