Cosmetology Instructor #1006 This position requires a Cosmetology certificate or diploma, and a current SC Cosmetology Instructor license (must be current with required continuing education for 2009 Cosmetology license renewal). A copy of the Cosmetology certificate/diploma; the current license(s); and Continuing Education Certificate must be submitted with the application.  Instructor must have a strong working knowledge of hair coloring, hair lightening, permanent waving, chemical relaxing, thermal styling, hair shaping, skin care/make-up, and nail care/enhancements.  Other job requirements include attention to work quality, details and deadlines, and working with minimal supervision. Engineering Technology Department Head #09056 – This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering with 18 graduate hours in the field. Machine Tool Technology Program Coordinator (Academic Program Director) #1015 – This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Machine Tool or Industrial Technology or a closely related field OR an associate degree in Machine Tool Technology, Industrial Technology or a closely related field PLUS a minimum of five (5) years of current industry related field experience that includes both conventional and CNC equipment set-up and operation. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills essential. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual change in information technology. Working knowledge and experience in the concepts and theories of conventional and CNC machining, set-up, and operations, CAD/CAM programming, materials and processes, blueprint reading, and tool design is required. RTV Broadcasting Instructor #1009 – This position requires a master’s degree in broadcasting or a closely related field.  A bachelor’s degree in broadcasting or a closely related field plus enrollment in an appropriate master’s program may be considered.    A minimum of 7 years professional experience in hands-on broadcast productions is required. Previous college level teaching in the field of radio and television broadcasting preferred.  Candidate must have extensive experience in hands-on broadcasting skills which should include lighting, studio and location, camera and sound, in addition to extensive experience in post production, particularly in the area of non-linear editing.  Mastery of Final Cut Pro software is essential.  Proficiency with After Effects, Photoshop and Pro Tools is desirable.   Candidate should have experience in and possess a high degree of competence in broadcast writing and standard broadcast procedures. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses, designing and refining courses in response to changes in the industry, advising students and assisting the department head with assessing the technology needs of the department and identifying budget priorities. Aircraft Maintenance Technology Lab Technician (FAA Part 147 School) – To qualifiy for this position you must  have FAA airframe & powerplant certificates and at least two (2) years of practical experience in the field of aircraft maintenance. Position requires some knowledge and experience of all aircraft maintenance subjects (general, airframe, powerplant).  Excellent customer service skills are required.  Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Animation Instructors To qualify for these positions candidates must have at least an associate’s degree in a visual arts discipline. A bachelor’s degree in a related area is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are required.  Ability to work on both PC and Macintosh platforms is critical. Recent relevant industry experience or previous college level teaching experience is also preferred. Instructors are needed to teach entry-level through advanced classes in Maya, 3ds Max and Flash as well as related courses in Director and Authorware software. Graphic Design Instructor To qualify for these positions you must have at least a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related discipline. An MFA with 18 graduate hours in graphic design or a related field is preferred. Must possess strong graphic design, imaging, and computer design skills. Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign and/or PhotoShop software is required. Work experience in designing for print media and the ability to work on both PC and Macintosh platforms are critical. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Instructors –To qualify for these positions you must have at least an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Technology or a related field PLUS five (5) years of industry related field experience. Instructors are needed for the following courses: piping systems and pumps, drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and mechanical sketching and blueprint reading. Courses are generally scheduled during the day for apprenticeship programs. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. These positions are open until filled.

Marketing Instructor – This position requires an M.B.A. with 18 graduate hours in marketing.  Prior teaching experience and excellent customer service skills are required. Mathematics Instructor – To qualify for this position, you must have at least a master’s degree in mathematics OR a master’s degree with 18 semester credit hours in mathematics at the graduate level. Qualified candidates may be assigned to teach mathematics courses ranging from beginning algebra through calculus III and differential equations, including probability and statistics, discrete mathematics, and contemporary mathematics. Multimedia and Web Site Design Instructor – To qualify for these positions you must have at least a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related discipline. An MFA with 18 graduate hours in graphic design or a related field is preferred. Must possess strong graphic design, imaging, and computer design skills. Proficiency in Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Powerpoint and/or Authorware software is required. Work experience in designing for digital media and the ability to work on both PC and Macintosh platforms are critical. Network Systems Management Instructors – To qualify for these positions you must have a bachelor’s degree in computer networking, information technology, business, or a related field AND experience in the networking/information technology field.  A master’s degree is preferred.  Preference will be given to applications with CompTIA, Cisco, and/or Microsoft certification.  Must be familiar with computer hardware and desktop operating systems, Cisco routing and switching, and network operating systems.  Day and evening courses are available.  Please submit a copy of your transcripts with your application. Nursing Instructors (ADN) – Part-time instructors needed to provide clinical instruction/supervision for 8 - 9 students on an adult medical surgical acute care unit.  Clinical rotations begin 1/12/10 and are available for 7 or 14 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays and Wednesdays.  A BSN PLUS enrollment in and 50% completion of a masters degree nursing program or an MSN is required.  Candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in medical surgical nursing as an RN and a current SC RN license.  Clinical teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program preferred.  Excellent customer service skills are a plus.  Salary is commensurate with education and experience.  These positions are open until filled.

Photography Instructors To qualify for this position you must have at least a bachelor’s degree in a visual arts discipline or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in photography or a related field. The master’s degree is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate experience using studio and location still camera and lighting equipment, and possess a thorough knowledge of traditional film and digital image capture and printing processes. Knowledge of and experience with the use of the latest version of the Adobe Creative Suite programs is preferred. Recent relevant industry experience and previous college level online and traditional teaching experience is also preferred. Day and evening courses are available. Physics/Astronomy Instructors These positions require a master’s degree in Physics or a master’s degree with 18 semester hours of graduate-level Physics.  Required knowledge base includes content related to assigned teaching responsibilities in Physics and Astronomy lectures and laboratories. Three years full-time equivalent experience teaching Astronomy, and both algebra-based and calculus-based Physics, at the two-year college level preferred. Must be capable of lifting/assembling heavy telescopes and performing night sky observations. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. Simulation Laboratory Technologist (Laboratory Technologist III) #1014This position requires a bachelor's degree in a health-related or technical field and journey-level work experience in the specialty area; or an associate degree or equivalent training in a health-related or technology field and advanced work experience in the specialty area. CNC Machining Instructor (Part Time) – This position requires a minimum of two years of setup AND two years of operation of manual lathes and milling machines plus three years of CNC machine tool operation, set-up and programming. Knowledge of programming CNC turning and machining centers, including CNC G-codes and M-codes, Cartesian Coordinate system, selection of CNC tooling, calculating proper feeds, speeds, and depths of cut is critical, along with excellent customer service skills. Experience teaching entry level and advanced CNC machining with the ability to develop a curriculum is preferred. The capability of performing tool offsets, tool pre-setting, work shift reference and general maintenance specific to CNC machinery is a plus. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
