Small Appliance Repair

This 120-hour program meets the needs of appliance repair shops and facilities.  Learn the basics of electricity, motors, mechanical repairs and refrigeration.  Service technicians or home appliance repairers assist in ensuring all home appliances operate safely and efficiently and that potential breakdowns are avoided.  Additionally, they assist in the inspecting, changing and removal of appliances.  Technicians and repairers carry out visual inspections, listen for unusual noises and check for potential leaks and overheating in order to properly diagnose the problem.  In times of economic stress, many people will often seek the lower cost of appliance repairs as opposed to the purchase of new appliances.

A GED or high school diploma is required.  The course is offered on demand.  Please call (843) 323-3800 for more information.
