RDG 100 – Critical Reading

The following resources will be helpful throughout your RDG 100 course.

Interactive Practice Exercises

The following links are to the English Language Centre at the University of Victoria in British Columbia.  These exercises give you a chance to read short passages and then answer questions to measure your comprehension.  The “quiz” will grade itself immediately so that you can go back to re-read if you need to.

Reading Help

The Library has numerous helpful tools like dictionaries, thesauri, etc. available at its Research link on the Library homepage (www. tridenttech.edu/library.htm).  From the Research page, click the link to General Reference.

Books

The Library has circulating copies of several books which you may find helpful.  They contain exercises to help you practice your vocabulary and reading comprehension skills.  The following are a few of these titles:
