FACTS.Com
There is a search bar on left side of screen. Type in your topic and choose/check databases you wish to search. You may set a date range if you wish. Click on GO to search. A list of articles will pull up on right side of screen. Double-click on article you wish to read. Note that there are Print, E-mail, and Print/Citation options (icons) at the top right of the screen.
Look at right of screen for Today’s News from Reuters News Service with a 2-week archive.

Country Profiles –countries come up in “alpha” order. Click on a
country On the left under Key News Events are many more articles related
to the country. An inset, Country at a Glance, which gives quick statistics on
the government, economy, education, transportation, etc., of the country.

Historic Documents - Click here for historic documents arranged by year or title.
Historic Event Overview (from 1940’s to the present). Here are background
essays on major events from the past few decades. Underlined items are links to
more information.
Issues in the News – gives the background on important issues and related news
stories
