Administrative Fitness Specialist (Recreation Specialist III) #14104  – This position requires a high school diploma and relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation, therapeutic recreation or a related field can be substituted for experience. This position also requires First Aid training and CPR and personal trainer certifications. Preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in the same as above and one (1) year of related work experience; an associate degree in same as above and three (3) years related work experience; or a high school diploma and five (5) years of related work experience. The ability to instruct and implement fitness programs including group exercise, fitness assessments, personal training and wellness, and special events as well as assist in the promotion of all areas associated with the Fitness Program is critical. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of weight training, exercise physiology and aerobics. Must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. This position works closely with the Fitness Specialist/Wellness Program Coordinator to promote an injury-free environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining equipment operation and function, monitoring lifting techniques, ensuring correct use of equipment, establishing and administering safety/risk management and emergency action protocol/plans, overseeing the daily operations of TTC’s Wellness Center, ensuring adequate coverage of the center, and providing administrative support for the operation of the Fitness Specialist certificate program. Budget Analyst (Accountant/Fiscal Analyst III) #14103 – This position requires a bachelor’s degree in with fifteen (15) credit hours in accounting related courses and three (3) years accounting experience.  Related courses and experience may include finance, economics, or other business analytics disciplines. Budgeting, financial analysis, and financial reporting work experience with a South Carolina state agency or local governmental entity is preferred. Strong Excel spreadsheet skills are vital to the success of this job.  Analytical software skills should extend to spreadsheet design, financial modeling, and financial analysis.  Exceptional business writing skills are also essential.  The ideal candidate will be able to analyze data and write clear and concise financial narratives and reports for consumption by a wide variety of target audiences.  The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of enterprise-wide central accounting and reporting software systems. Business Solutions Consultant (Training and Development Director I) #14108 (Pending State Classification)  This position requires a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant program experience.  A master’s degree in business, engineering, or training and development, and contractual sales experience is preferred. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in selling contractual training solutions to businesses.  Must possess excellent speaking, writing and interpersonal skills and have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.  Experience with “closing the deal;” researching customers, marketing segments, and business trends; and proposing program direction is a plus.  The Business Solutions Consultant serves as a liaison, supporting divisional marketing and sales. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting customer visits to establish relationships and to understand issues and economic development needs; assisting in the conceptualizing, planning, and developing of innovative new training programs; strategic planning; environmental scanning; conducting needs assessments; reviewing proposals and performing statistical analysis. The Business Solutions Consultant is also responsible for creating and maintaining core sales and marketing processes and using lean techniques to continually improve processes to add value to overall sales efforts. Law Enforcement Officer I #1458, #1480 and #1491 These positions require a high school diploma PLUS two (2) years work experience in law enforcement.  An equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered.   Excellent customer service skills are essential. A graduate of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy as a certified police officer and campus law enforcement experience as well as a working knowledge of state, county and municipal laws is also preferred. Experience in corrections cannot be substituted for law enforcement experience. Successful candidates should have working knowledge of modern police methods and procedures, and the ability to prepare reports and testify in court. Candidates should have the physical ability to enforce laws and deal appropriately with the public. Must be able to work rotating shifts on a 24/7 schedule. TEMPORARY AND PART-TIME STAFF

Administrative Fitness Specialist (2 positions) (Revised)– These part-time contract positions require a high school diploma and relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation, therapeutic recreation or a related field can be substituted for experience. This position also requires CPR certification. Preferred candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in the same as above and one (1) year of related work experience; an associate degree in same as above and three (3) years related work experience; or a high school diploma and five (5) years of related work experience. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of weight training, exercise physiology and aerobics. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. These positions work closely with the Fitness Specialist/Wellness Program Coordinator to promote an injury-free environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining equipment cleanliness, monitoring lifting techniques and correct use of equipment, administering safety/risk management and emergency action protocols, overseeing the daily operations of TTC’s Wellness Center, ensuring adequate coverage of the center. Position will require availability Monday through Friday for 4 hours each day during the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Aircraft Assembly Lab Technician – To qualify for this part-time contract  position, you must have at least four (4) years of practical experience in the field of aircraft assembly, manufacturing, or maintenance. Position requires some knowledge and experience of aircraft assembly subjects such as sheet metal and composite technology, aircraft electricity and wiring, and aircraft plumbing. Excellent customer service skills are required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.  Working hours are 20 – 25 hours per week Monday – Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.  This position is open until filled.

Avionics Lab Technician –This position requires a degree or certificate from a formal electronics school, civilian or military, PLUS two (2) years of related work experience and a FCC GROL license. Preference is given to applicants with NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician and FAA airframe and powerplant certification. Knowledge and experience in aircraft electrical/electronic systems, wiring installation and component level troubleshooting and repair is essential. Excellent customer service skills are required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is open until filled. 

Mathematics Tutors (The Learning Center) – These part-time contract positions require a minimum of 12 hours of college-level mathematics with a grade of A or B in all mathematics courses attempted. Preferred applicants will possess at least 15 hours of college-level mathematics, including a statistics course. Ideal candidates will have experience tutoring mathematics within a college environment and a demonstrated commitment to the continuous improvement and evaluation of successful tutoring strategies to increase student success.  Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential. Positions are available at Main, Berkeley and Palmer campuses.  Candidates must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. VEST (Veterans Engaging in STEM) Coordinator – This temporary part-time contract position requires a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is preferred. Military veteran, spouse or dependent who has previously utilized VA educational benefits or someone with experience working with veterans and/or military personnel is also preferred. Must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and have excellent listening skills. Applicants must have knowledge and skills in the use of computer software. The successful candidate will host workshops for veterans to introduce them to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) career paths. Excellent customer service and public speaking skills are also essential. The candidate will also serve as a navigator, mentor, and tutor for veterans. This position reports to the Assistant Director-Customer Service within the Financial Aid/Veterans Assistance office. Local travel among the College’s four campuses will be required. Work hours are typically twenty-five (25) hours a week Monday – Friday, between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with occasional evening and weekend work. The pay rate is $20 per hour. This position ends December 19, 2014. This position is open until filled.
