Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is seeking Adjunct Instructors.

Part-Time Instructors

AutoCAD Instructor This position requires a minimum three (3) years current AutoCAD experience, preferably working with 2012 and/or 2013 versions.  Solidworks, Revit or Inventor experience is a plus. Teaching experience in a related area is preferred. Instructors are needed to teach entry-level through advanced classes.  Excellent customer service skills are required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is open until filled.

CNA Classroom Instructor (Nurse Aide) (St. Paul’s Parish Hollywood) –  This part-time contract position requires a current RN or LPN SC license and a minimum of two (2) years related work experience with at least one (1) year experience in a long-term care facility. Ideal candidate will have familiarity with the scope of work of a nurse aide as well as the necessary skills. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Ideal candidate will have the ability to monitor students in classroom and lab sessions while keeping accurate attendance and grading records. Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Courses will potentially be offered during the day and/or evening. Copies of related transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable) and certifications must be submitted with the application. Classroom instruction will take place at the St. Paul’s Parish offsite location in Hollywood, SC. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is open until filled.

Ideal candidate will have the ability to monitor students in a clinical setting while keeping accurate attendance and grading records. Instructor is responsible for monitoring students and residents individual care plans. Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential. Courses will potentially be offered during the day and/or evening. Copies of related transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable) and certifications must be submitted with the application. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is open until filled. Clinical instruction will take place at a long-term care facility in Johns Island, SC after students have completed classroom training at St. Paul’s Parish in Hollywood, SC. Instructor must be able to travel between both locations.  Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is open until filled.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Instructors To qualify for these positions you must have at least an associate degree in electromechanical technology, mechanical engineering technology, or Industrial technology or a related field PLUS five (5) years of industry related field experience. Instructors are needed for the following courses: piping systems and pumps, drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and mechanical sketching and blueprint reading. Courses are generally scheduled during the day. These positions are open until filled.

Instrumentation and Electronics Instructors – To qualify for these positions an associate degree, certificate or diploma in a related field plus five (5) years industrial electrician experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered. Ideal candidates must have actual work experience in wiring, installing electrical components, pumps, switch gears, electrical switches and electronic instruments and devices, process controllers, PLCs, data loggers, relays, breakers , and other electronic instrumentation equipment; troubleshooting and repairing electrical or mechanical malfunction;  knowledge and understanding of high voltage electrical testing and safety procedures; Experience in calibrating and repairing a wide variety of electrical and equipment and instrumentation devices. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics. Teaching/training experience in a related area and current electrician license is a plus.  Certification as a NCCER Electrical Craft Instructor is also a plus. Courses are generally taught during the day. These positions are open until filled.

Medical Coding On-line Instructors – To qualify for these positions, you must have at least a related associate degree with approved certification and/or licensure in CCS, CC-P or RHIT.  Prior teaching/training experience is preferred. Knowledge of ICD-10 is essential. Excellent customer service and written and verbal interpersonal skills are essential. Copies of related transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable) and certifications must be submitted with the application. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Project Management Adjunct Instructor – To qualify for this part-time contract position, you must have a bachelor’s degree, PMP certification AND previous teaching experience. The ability to relate work experience and practical skills in project management to teaching technical components of the PMI PMBOK is essential. This position will be responsible for instructing project management and project management exam preparation courses. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule and be available to teach both during the day and evenings, on occasion.  Please include a copy of your transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable) and resume with your application. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Welding Instructors(Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development) –To qualify for these positions, you must have a minimum of five (5) years current welding experience and must pass certification tests in each welding process taught. Teaching/training experience and an associate degree in a related area is preferred. Instructors are needed to teach entry-level through advanced classes in shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux cored arc, and oxyacetylene/plasma arc/carbon arc cutting processes as well as related courses in blueprint reading, metallurgy, welding safety, and weld inspection, testing, and codes. Excellent customer service skills are required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. These positions are open until filled.
