Q. What is a Challenge Course?

A. Challenge courses provide 15 hours of instruction during the week prior to the beginning of an academic semester. The timing allows you to enroll immediately in the next level course if you successfully complete the challenge course.

Q. What does ISP mean in the course description?

A.  ISP stands for Individualized Study Plan. Some Developmental Studies courses are taught in this format allowing assignments based on individual needs, flexible scheduling, and the possibility of early exit. Students who exit by mid-semester are eligible to enrol in Fast Forward II courses.

Q.  How are Developmental Courses graded?

A.  Students enrolled in 032 courses earn grades of SC (satisfactory completion) or  U (unsatisfactory). Students enrolled in courses numbered 100 and above earn a letter grade.
