Knowledge Testing
Proctored testing services are custom designed to assist employers in assessing current knowledge of prospective new hires and the existing workforce. Testing includes mechanical, electrical and PLC knowledge assessments and is by request.

Skills Assessment
Onsite assessment of current production operations, work processes, quality systems, maintenance procedures and workforce effectiveness utilizing qualified subject matter experts assessments serve as a preliminary step in developing training recommendations.

Certified Production Technician (MSSC Certified)
Programs can be designed to meet specific needs for new hires and existing workforce members. Modules include concentrated training in four key areas; safety training and assessment, quality practices and measurement, manufacturing processes and production, and maintenance awareness. 

Electrical Assembly
This program includes modules in electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical theory and safety, schematics and components, crimping, harnessing, use of meters, and defect repair. 

Programmable Logic Controllers
Introductory and intermediate training available using Allen-Bradley PLC’s with RS-Logix software. Hands on training in programming, wiring and troubleshooting with an emphasis on input/output, ladder logic theory, file management and functions.

Forklift Certification Training
We offer onsite industrial power vehicle training as required by OSHA to achieve certification on your company’s equipment. Train the Trainer programs also available.

Arc Welding
Customized training, onsite or on campus available in SMAW (Stick), MIG and TIG welding processes. Non-destructive testing training includes: Basic Non-Destructive testing, Liquid Penetrant (PT), Visual (VT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).

Lean Manufacturing
A comprehensive overview of Lean Manufacturing elements: Visual Workplace (5S), Value Stream mapping, KanBan, SMED, JIT, Kaizen, reduction of waste in all forms, reduction of variability, total productive maintenance, six sigma.

Supply Chain Management
In partnership with the greater Charleston area APICS chapter, Trident Technical College provides training classes throughout the calendar year. Please check our website for the 2012 schedule of training modules. 

Leadership Skills
Customized soft skills’ training is available for the new supervisor as well as current supervisory and management  personnel. This program includes a broad variety of modules to choose from including: Communication, Train the Trainer, Teamwork, Respect, Participative Leadership, Diversity, Decision Making, Conflict Management, Business Ethics, and Prioritizing Time. 

Registered Apprenticeships
Working with Apprenticeship Carolina, Trident Technical College can design customized apprenticeship programs to meet the needs of industry. Apprenticeships can be registered with the U.S. Department of Labor to recognize skills development and assist companies in attracting and retaining highly skilled workers. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is currently underway and programs can be developed using a “sector partnership” with area employers to include CNC Machining, Instrumentation and Electrical, Chemical Operator, and Electrical Maintenance Mechanic.
