Basic Blueprint Reading

Develop skills in reading and interpreting industrial drawings in this five-day course, which teaches the fundamentals of mechanical blueprint reading. APICS-The Association for Operations Management

The APICS CPIM program provides a common basis for individuals and organizations to evaluate their knowledge of the evolving field of production and inventory management. The program has helped individuals and their organizations become more productive and competitive because it is designed to test in-depth knowledge of a variety of subjects specific to production and inventory management. Each course is taught by an APICS instructor and is sponsored in conjunction with the Charleston APICS chapter.

Introduced in 1973 and reconfigured in 2000, CPIM continues to live up to its mission of educating individuals in the concepts, tools, terminology and integration of topics across operations functions. Basics of Supply Chain Management

This course is completely updated for 2009. The basic concepts in managing the complete flow of materials in a supply chain from suppliers to customers are covered in this module. Supply chain concepts are introduced and basic terminology is emphasized, as are relationships among activities in the supply chain.

Master Planning of Resources

Explore the processes used to develop sales and operations plans and identify and assess internal and external demand and forecasting requirements. The course focuses on the importance of producing achievable master schedules that are consistent with business policies, objectives and resource constraints. Topics include demand management, sales and operations planning, master scheduling and measuring business performance.
