ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

This 32-hour course is designed for manufacturing engineers and manufacturing quality engineers who need to pass the certification exam given by the American Society of Quality (ASQ). After successfully completing the course, you will better understand quality engineering, be able to apply a wide range of quality tools and concepts to your individual work situation, and be prepared to take the five-hour ASQ certification exam. Course topics include management and leadership in quality engineering; quality systems development, implementation and verification; planning, controlling and assuring product and process quality; reliability and risk management; problem solving; quality improvement; and quantitative methods. Exam date is Dec. 6. Application deadline is Oct. 3.

ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

This 32-hour course is designed to help manufacturing quality auditors and supplier quality engineers pass the certification exam given by the American Society of Quality (ASQ). After successfully completing the course, students will better understand the auditing process and be able to use a wide range of quality tools and concepts while conducting an audit, and be prepared to take the five-hour ASQ certification exam. Course topics include auditing fundamentals, audit process, auditor competencies, audit program, business applications, and quality tools and techniques. Exam date is Dec. 6. Application deadline is Oct. 3.

ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)

This 32-hour course is for manufacturing personnel who need to pass the Certified Quality Inspector exam given by the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Topics include technical mathematics, metrology, inspection and testing, quality assurance tools and techniques. A statistical calculator is required. You should have a general overview of quality tools and concepts, and have some experience applying quality tools and concepts in the measurement process. Exam date is Oct. 18. ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt Exam Prep

The Six Sigma Green Belt operates in support of or under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt, analyzes and solves quality problems and is involved in quality improvement projects. This 54-hour course teaches the components of the Six Sigma process and how to apply them to a theoretical improvement project. It covers the following topics: Six Sigma and the organization, SSIMT-Define, SSIMT-Measure, SSIMT- Analyze, SSIMT-Improve, and  SSIMT-Control. This course prepares you to take the four-hour green belt certification exam given by the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Exam date is Dec. 6. Application deadline is Oct. 3.  Books included

ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Exam Prep

The course teaches the components of the Six Sigma process and how to apply them to a theoretical improvement project. This 60-hour course covers 10 topics: enterprise-wide development, business process management, project management, Six Sigma Improvement Methodology and Tools SSIMT-Define, SSIMT-Measure, SSIMT-Analyze, SSIMT- Improve, SSIMT-Control, lean enterprise and design for Six Sigma. The class prepares you to take the four-hour black belt certification exam given by the American Society of Quality (ASQ). To sit for the ASQ exam, each student must submit an improvement project where multiple Six Sigma tools are used.  Exam date is Oct. 18. Application deadline is Aug. 15. Books included

ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor

This intensive course is for those who plan to lead and conduct ISO 9001:2000 internal or external audits. It is provided by Q-Quest and is fully accredited by IRCA. This course also is approved by the International Auditor and Training Certification Association (IATCA), which is recognized by both RAB and IRCA. The course includes an in-depth understanding of the ISO series, how to refine and enhance a quality system, individual exercises, group activities, preparing audit findings and auditing skills and techniques.
