Learn the basics of networking your home computers and creating a wireless home environment. This course covers how to use Ethernet cabling and the basics of Internet connection. Various hardware used in home networking is covered as well. Learn how to set up and configure your own wireless router and secure it from outside intrusion, to include laptop linking. Course also covers hardware and software firewalls and protective software, Internet and e-mail security and confidentiality, virus detection and prevention, and repair.
